Breakout!
New Year - New Season
And we are off! The ninth year of the NSPL is underway as eight teams do battle upon UCZ Paintball Parks sup-air arena. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Demolition Squad, Kinetic, NA Angels, Snatch UK, Atomic, AP Havoc, Plan B and Plan B Kids for their support. Best of luck throughout the event guys!

Planning Ahead...
Plan B and Plan B Kids are new to the NSPL this year, having played the Proto KotH series last season. They did well there and are now trying their luck at Div 4. Kevin Bayliss is the leader of this little band and has plans of a bright future for the Plan B family. Both teams have started well this morning with two wins under Plan Bs belt and one win for the Kids.

Thank God
After a week of bad weather and battling against the elements to get the field ready for this weekend, the lord above has finally decided to be nice to us when it really matters. The newly updated field at UCZ is going down well and the Malaga field set-up is providing plenty of entertainment with fast games and loads of aggressive play. Couple this with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere is Round One is shaping up to be a great little start to the new year...

Half-Way In
Its lunch time down here in Devon and all the teams have now played four of their eight games. In Group A, Kinetic are leading the way, having not lost a game so far. Snatch are just one win behind them and they will meet again later in the day, so that will be a crucial game for these two teams. Group B is a close run thing with no one team standing out at the moment.

Date: Sunday 16th March 2008 12:37

Off Again
The afternoon session is now well underway and its still a two horse race in Group A between Snatch UK and Kinetic. Havoc have just beat Atomic to ensure they are still in the running for Group B and now Plan B need to pull off another win to stay in with a chance too. The divisional slackers at the moment seem to be NA Angels and Plan B Kids who both have just one win under their belts at the moment - can they pick it up towards the end of the day?

Date: Sunday 16th March 2008 14:03

Close Calls
Snatch UK taste vengeance by beating Kinetic in their second match up of the day and there is now just one Elimination-Difference point between them going in to the last round of games! Stick around to find out who manages to take first in Group A. Atomic and Havoc are also fighting tooth and nail in Group B for that top spot... its all too close to call.

Date: Sunday 16th March 2008 14:48

Final Rounds
Each of our eight teams are now breaking out for the last time today, playing their final game of the event. Demolition Squad pull a great win out of the bag to dash the hopes of Snatch UK and send Kinetic towards that 1st place trophy. Just a few games to play before all the final positions are known.

Date: Sunday 16th March 2008 14:59

Boom! Headshot!
Close of Play
And the first event comes to an end with smiles and happy players all around. In Group B, AP Havoc just take the lead by a few ED over Atomic. In Group A, Kinetic put in an almost flawless performance to come top of the pile after a great battle against Snatch UK throughout the day. Thanks to all the teams today for helping to create a fantastic atmosphere and friendly, competitive environment for all to enjoy! See you at the next one.
