Round 4 Underway
Welcome to Round 4 of what is proving to be a fantastic 2007 season for the NSPL and its competitors. Today, we're in rainy Devon as UCZ Paintball Park step in at the last minute to host this event after the scheduled venue pulled out earlier this week. We have lost a few teams due to the change in venue, but 17 eager squads are now turning up and getting ready to participate in another exciting tournament. Today's action will be played out on two Sup'Air fields and you can check back here throughout the day for all the gossip and live scores. Stick around.

NSPL Refs Going From Strength to Strength
And We're Off
The first games of the day are just getting underway, bang on time. As always, we have a dedicated crew of NSPL Refs overseeing the day's action and these guys are going from strength to strength as the year progresses. Not an enviable job today with the rain light but constant and soaking. The first scores will be available very soon...

Water and Mud
The rain continues to pour down on UCZ and everyone has resigned themselves to a thorough soaking, but the atmosphere is good with smiles, jokes and laughs a-plenty. Should be interesting to see the state of some of the snake players by the end of the day! We'll do our best to find the muddiest player and get you some photos.

In2Deep Win Their First Game
Games Roll On
The game results are coming in thick and fast, with teams shrugging off the bad weather and battling on. In2Deep win their first game, beating Relentless with one player alive. Cool As Ice and 2Hott4U Young Guns did the same, but then met in the second round with Cool As Ice comfortably taking the win. In Division 1, Snatch and Cynergy Academy both beat DeNovo in their first round games.

Player Ingenuity?
Men or Mice?
We are sorting the men from the mice here at Round 4 as the weather starts to dampen spirits. AP Havoc and Care Bears have called it quits and gone home, leaving Div 4 with BYEs for the rest of day. The rest of the teams seem happy enough and continue to battle on. In Division 1, Snatch and Cynergy Academy just bashed heads and Cyn took the win, but ran out of time running the flag home. More to come...

2Hott4U
Lunch Approaches
Lunchtime approaches signifying the half-way point of the day. We're taking more casulties here at Blitzkreig call it a day too and Guildford Elite are temporarilly halted by loader problems. But the rain is easing and hopefully will clear up a bit this afternoon. In the divisions, Cool As Ice are out in front in Division 3, 2Hott4U 2 and Demolition Squad are battling it out in Division 2, and Snatch and Cynergy are at logger-heads in Division 1.

Guildford Elite Huddle
Half Way
We're at the half way point and the scores are beginning to give us some hints as to how the rest of the day may unfold. Cynergy Academy have crept in to a strong lead in Division 1. In Division 2, Blitzkreig's no show has meant Demolition Squad have just edged in to first. And in Division 3, Cool As Ice are dominating at the moment. The rain has now stopped and there's actually some sunshine coming through the clouds. I hope it stay that way for the sake of those teams who have braved the bad weather this morning without complaint.

Snatch Re-Walk the NSPL Field
Determination
The sun is well and truly shining and the atmosphere recovering from this morning's battering from the elements. Teams are drying out and having a laugh over lunch. Some are walking the fields again, determined to improve their success rates for the afternoon session. Rumours are that Blitzkreig have returned after seeing the weather improve and Guildford Elite have managed to sort their kit problems out to ensure they will be playing their afternoon games. It all starts again soon - stay tuned.

NSPL Field, T-Bag Tape
Round 4 Afternoon
The afternoon scores are now being updated live for your enjoyment. DeNovo continue to take a beating, loosing to Snatch and Cynergy Academy without taking out any players. (Cynergy Academy are playing with six today, hence the scores on that game.) Snatchlings are doing well in Division 4 (Group C) and Cool As Ice have just lost to Atomic which could blow that division wide open. More soon.

Date: Sunday 13th May 2007 13:45

Changes
Its all happenning in the later stages of the day. Snatch beat Cyn Academy convincingly to narrow the gap and then DeNovo come back with a great game to do the same, putting Snatch in the lead in Division 1. It will all come down to the last game with Cyn vs. Snatch for 1st and 2nd place. In Division 4, Relentless have come storming to the front as in2deep and Cool As Ice drop off the boil. In Group B, NA Angels are now looking good for the win IF they can keep it up!
